Waiting

Okay, my appointment with the new fertility doctor was on Thursday.
Now we play the waiting game.

We spoke to him.
We asked questions.
My blood was drawn to see what can be done for me.
And until those results come back, we pay the waiting game again. This is the part of the whole process that I really dislike but I guess this is the only way to really know for sure what are my next steps.

Don't get me wrong... I really liked this doctor. Very up front with his answers and the way that he explained things was so much better than the other doctors I have seen.
And honestly, he told me things that the others never did. When the others told me something, he told me that they were mistaken. What a blow!

But we shall see what can be done for me, so that my little princess has a sibling in the future - God willing.

Other than the appointment, we are making progress in getting all our stuff into the house.

The spare bedroom is completed and we brought over our bed and the princesses bed also. It's so nice to sleep on a bed. LOL! The little things that we miss.

Cooking in our kitchen has been something that probably has been a little therapeutic for me.
Since being here, I've made chicken soup which was a hit.
I had some friends over and made white rice, beans and fried chicken. Which was devoured.

Then last night, I tackled making sopa de salchichón (farmer's sausage soup) and this was something that I have never made before. But I tried and the hubby enjoyed it so much! The princess had a plate full of it too!
I made some white rice for a side and some tostones. We had a great fest and it warmed up the soul since it's so cold out.

Hubby is so excited about my cooking.
I'm going to have to get some more ideas of recipes to cook around here. LOL!

Happy Saturday to all! And thanks for reading.

I did it...

No matter how crazy things got last night, after I got home, the hubby and I got our workout in... HIP HOP ABS!!! YAHOO!! We surely did work out... it was great!

On a mission this year... and I need to accomplish those things that I have set forth for myself because if I don't, no one will do it for me. And I need to be around for my family and those that care about me.

Working out is a priority for me right now... no matter what the cost. I need to get into shape for myself, my princess, my hubby... for my health especially.

  • I can't feel out of breath when I am walking from the train to my parents house to pick up my princess or my car.
  • I can't feel like I am going to pass out because of the pain in my chest from just standing at my kitchen sink while doing the dishes.
  • I want to be able to run an actual 5k without stopping... and not feel like my lungs are completely on fire.

I know I have said this before, but I have seen the results that I have had when actually commit to doing something and I want to commit myself 100% in getting myself into shape.

I am not looking for a "summer" body, I am looking for my FOREVER body... because my forever body is the one that is going to take me further than just a "summer" body.

Well, need to get back to work... actually have work to do, LOL!
So thanks for reading... and until the next time.

It's been a while...

A very long while... and I don't know where to even start.

  1. I mentioned in my last post that I was about to start my IVF treatments... but unfortunately, I was asked to stop since my FSH numbers were not were they needed to be. I was only on the medication for a little over 2 weeks, I was hopefully that something would happen.
  2. One of the things listed on my list of things to accomplish in 2013 was to purchase a home, and I am happy to mention that we did! It is a single family home in the city, with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, attic, basement, HUGE backyard and a HUGE garage. We are in the middle of remodeling the house and we aren't completely moved in but we are living in it. I am loving being a homeowner. ☺
  3. The princess has mastered the potty!!! I am so proud of her. I was going to put her in school after the holidays, but I am going to hold off on it. We currently have her using a program online that will help her with her schooling - ABCMouse.com. We are hoping by the summer to see a huge improvement with her.
Well, since I haven't been seeing a fertility specialist since September of 2013, I decided to just focus my energy towards the house. I haven't been able to hit the gym anymore since things are just out of whack for me to get to the gym... I am trying my hardest to work out at home and starting today, no more excuses! I love being able to sweat out my frustrations! LOL!
But I am happy to report that I got my period again this month! The last time I got it was in September - once on my own and a second one with medication - but this time around, it was all on my own. It was 109 days since my previous period... the longest time frame without one. The time frame before that was 104 days, which was December 2012 to March 2013

But before that, I was referred to a fertility specialist that a mom from the princess' swim class used - and is currently pregnant due to him - and I made an appointment to see him this week. So I will have great news to share with him that I got my period for 10 days straight! ☺

I have reconnected with two very important friends this year and I hope that our friendship bonds become stronger as the days go by. Missed these ladies too much... and cannot allow something like this to happen again.

I am so happy that 2013 ended on a positive note and so far 2014 has been good... I cannot wait to see what this new year has in store for me and my little family. And I hope to start up my writing again ... and start some other projects along the way as well.

Thanks for reading! ☺
