A month full of possibilities lay ahead of me... and starting it off on a great foot.
The research on my fertility issues has continued and I have learned a lot of things from the books that I have read and those books that I am reading currently. A lot of the books claim that diet changes a lot in fertility and even taking yoga classes helps things along too.
On Thursday night, the hubby and I headed out to run some errands and see what books that we can find on helping me out with my FSH issues.
We go to Barnes and Noble to see if there are any books available on fertility and I end up purchasing a book written by the wife of an old boss of mine - but didn't realize that it was written by her until later that night when I was reading it.
After leaving the bookstore, we headed to Whole Foods to find one of the herbs that one of the books that I purchased mentioned that I should try - chaste tree tincture.
When we get to Whole Foods, we find the tincture along with some prenatal vitamins that I need to start taking.
We finally get home and get the princess from my mom and have some family time together before all of us head to bed for the night.
Friday...
It was a family fun-filled day for the three of us.
We started off having breakfast at home and getting ready for the day.
We ended up going to Stanley's Fruit Market to get some fruits... and boy, did we walk out of there with a ton of fruits! Strawberries, banana's, pineapples, apples, grapefruit, oranges, clementines, blood oranges, tomatoes, etc... OMG... the trunk was chock full of wonderful things to make us healthy.
Then it was time for us to find something to eat for lunch... and we checked off another new restaurant off our list of new places to try - Noodles and Company. It was so yummy there!
We eat got a meal of noodles and then it was time to give the princess some time to play... so we went across the street to PAWS of Chicago. It is a no-kill animal shelter that houses both cats and dogs. So we walked up and down the halls of the place looking at all different types of cats and dogs. And can you believe that I fell in love with a dog?!?!? UGH! I told the hubby that I was going to be upset if I wanted to get a dog from there and of course I did!
And the princess walked out of the place CRYING because she wanted to play with them all!
Even though his initial idea of going there was in the right place, walking out of there, well... you can say that we were sort of down.
But it gave us a better understanding of where we need to go in our journey. :-)
Then it was time to head downtown so that we can get to my appointment.
We got the stroller out of the trunk and started walking in the wonderful afternoon sun!
Walking down Michigan Avenue was so nice... we hadn't done that in a while and it was the perfect weather for it.
We get to the building of where we need to be at and go inside... and head to the acupuncture office.
After filling out the paperwork and talking to the acupuncturist, it was time to lay on the table and get the needles put on me.
The needles were put on my head, my arms, my lower abdomen, legs and toes for 45 minutes. I think that I even fell asleep during that time. LOL!
After it was all said and done, I walked out of the office feeling a little different... a bit more relaxed.
So since it's still early, we go to Old Navy and I purchased a few items for both me and the princess. And the three of us continued to walk around Downtown, even getting some Garrett's popcorn.
We head back to the car and head home with a sleeping princess that fell asleep in her stroller while we were still at Old Navy.
And to end the night off right, we picked up some additional ingredients at the grocery store so that the hubby can make shrimp ceviche for us at home. And OMG... was it delicious!!!

| Ceviche with crackers... YUMMY!!! |
After eating this wonderful dinner with the hubby and my mom, it was time to clean up and relax a bit before going to bed for the night.
Then on Saturday, it was errand day for my mom, the princess and I... but I threw a little twist in there.
While the hubby was working, I wanted to get the princess pictures with the Easter bunny and today was the last day since it was going to be Easter on Sunday and the malls were going to be closed.
So I got her all dressed up and out the door we went to not only run our errands but also get that picture done at the mall.
After arriving at the mall, my first stop was the picture station but to my luck, the bunny was on lunch break and was going to be arriving back in about 45 minutes. So we decided to walk around the mall a little and then get into line to wait for the bunny.
Okay, I am not going to say this just because she is my daughter... but OMG!!! Did she take some BEAUTIFUL pictures with that bunny!
Okay... and those were the ones that I was able to purchase because there were about 4 more poses that I wasn't able to buy! So instead of buying paper copies of the pictures and not have the other 2 poses, I ended up buying a CD with three poses and just sending the pictures to Walgreens to get printed up.
They told me that I could do that since I was buying the rights to the picture... SWEET!!!
So I got everyone a copy of one of the poses of the pictures... and they loved it.
And I was also on a mission to get a juicer, which I found on sale at Carson's with additional $10 off because of the Goodwill Sale going on. And I even purchased some much needed dress pants to wear to work!
That evening, the hubby and I weren't able to make it to a birthday party but we were able to spend some quality time with the princess and watch some movies together.
Sunday... Easter!
Breakfast made by the hubby... pancakes, veal franks and an egg. YUMMY!
Then I dressed the princess up in her Easter dress and got her Easter present from my parents.
Then it was time for the adults to get ready... and I put on a dress that I purchased for today. :-) I felt fabulous! And I even had time to do my eye make-up... I am getting a little better as time goes on.
And off we headed to my cousin's house to not only celebrate Easter but to also celebrate my aunt's 65th birthday!
The princess had fun with all the kids... and they even had them color eggs!
And since I wasn't able to keep her still - really - for moments at a time... here are a few pictures of her posing for the camera in her Easter dress. She looked so beautiful in it.
Then it was home again for all of us.
Monday... another long day but I accomplished 4 loads of laundry! I was so proud of myself! LOL!! And since the hubby is off, he went BACK to Stanley's Fruit Market and got even more fruit!
And the picture doesn't include all the cut-up pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, more grapes, cucumbers, etc, that were in the fridge! LOL!!
Tuesday... another long day but that also means that I am eating better in the mornings... a homemade juice waiting for me in the fridge before I go, and when I get to work...

And with everyday since we have had the juicer, the hubby and I have been juicing it up in the morning. And I have to say that I feel great after I drink my fruit/vegetable combos. I am eating so much better. And I have my daughter to thank for that... my role model!
This child doesn't really like junk food... and she rather have some strawberries than a lollipop! She drinks water like it's going out of style - just like her mommy!
I took my first yoga class at the gym last night and it was a great class.
I know that it was the first time that I took the class but a lot of the poses weren't that hard to do but some were when it came to balancing in certain stances. Hopefully I will be able to get better at these poses... and with getting better means that I will be able to focus on my balancing issues and even focus on getting my core stronger because without a strong core, I won't be able to balance myself correctly.

| After the yoga class... |
The hubby mentioned something to me last night... he said that he really enjoyed it when he took martial arts when he was younger. And what did I tell him... to take it up again.
He tried to come at me about the price of it and I told him... sometimes we spend money on crap that doesn't do us any good, and the stuff that we truly want to enjoy, we limit ourselves because of the cost.
If martial arts is what you want to do, my love... then do it. Cancel your gym membership and get back to where you want to be... in the studio practicing martial arts! I surely hope that he does this so that he can feel better about his health.
And now were are... Wednesday...
More fruits/veggies this morning in juice form... breakfast... yogurt... lunch... and more more fruits this afternoon.
And headed to the gym tonight to run a bit... we have another run this month - 5k for Earth Day - on April 27th. Hopefully we will be able to take my father out for his 62nd birthday on the same night.
So I will end this entry here... my first one for the month.
I believe that with time, my entries will become more enlightening for me and for my family.
Have a wonderful evening... and hasta la proxima!
